Overview
When you first set up your SwissCMS installation, a default username and password is created for use in protecting the administration area of your website.
The admin area (unless customised) is situated at:
http://www.yourdomain.com/
admin
...or if you've installed it within a lower level directory:
http://www.yourdomain.com/swisscmsfolder/
admin
Upon visiting this page, you will be prompted with a login box. Enter your username and password (default is 'admin' and 'password' respectively). Subsequent visits to the admin area in the same browsing session will not prompt for repeat logins.
We strongly recommend changing your password immediately after your first login. The default login details are the same for all installations. To change your password, click on the User Administration link from the main administration page.
Admin Options
Once logged into the admin area, the administrator is presented with a list of concise options - one of which being 'Add a New Page'.
Clicking on this will take you to a page with 2 toolbars that resemble those of a typical word processor. There is a field for the title of the page or article and there are 2 columns - left and right.
There is also a drop-down list to select a parent page should you wish to choose this option. All pages also have the option of being includeed for the news ticker or disabled and hidden from view.
After entering and formatting text, links and images as desired, the user simply previews, and if satisified, saves the page.
