Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation or SEO is all the rage these days.  It's a term to describe the methods employed within a website to achieve a better search engine ranking when searching or 'Googling'.

In-Built SEO features

SwissCMS gives users full control over their page titles and more importantly, their META tags.  META tags allow you to 'tag' your pages with a concise description of your business or project and a list of keywords which will (hopefully) be picked up by the search engine 'spiders' or 'crawlers'.

Syntactically Spectacular

As SwissCMS has been coded with the aim of employing W3C valid code at all times, any website that uses it will be parsed quickly and perfectly by major search engines, thus increasing search reliability and ranking credibility.

The robots.txt file

Along with bullet-proof scripting, all SwissCMS installations include a default robots.txt file.  This is where you give specific instructions if you wish to keep certain documents, pages or directories away from the often intrusive tentacles of major search bots.
