Securing The Future of SwissCMS

We've now successfully completed the update to the core SwissCMS licensing system. The new system means that we can safely offer trial SwissCMS distributions without jeopardising future investment in the application's development as a result of pirated or unauthorised installations.

SwissCMS installations now perform a multi-threaded security check which remotely cross-checks the domain name and registration key with our central client database.  If you're not on our list of registered users, your SwissCMS-based website will be restricted to a trial version (10 page limit) and display a javascript alert until a valid key is distributed for your domain.

If the licensing server cannot be contacted for some reason, your website will continue to function in the highest available licensing mode until a successful cross-check can be carried out. So basically, if our licensing server goes down, you benefit for a short time!  We'll even permanently increase your page quota to accommodate any additional pages that you may have added during such a licensing server outage.
